01
Systems Engineer at Raymarine/ Alten
Responsibilities:
I conducted the engineering testing of avionics and electronic marine multi-functional display systems.
Manual test and software testing included smoke, regression, unit, development, field, and systems testing.
Test creation, test execution, and test planning were part of the role.
We followed the agile project management styles for PA (Product Assurance) and QA (Quality Assurance) teams.
Furthermore, I spearheaded the TFMEA for major feature, ensured client alignment, and delivered the test plans & cases promptly.

Courses Completed during the role:
Essential Navigation by RYA (Royal Yachting Society)- I was able to acquire the key skills of navigation fundamentals during the course period.

Aerospace Engineer at VRCO
Responsibilities:
This role gave me the freedom to explore different aspects of the company's major product, flying car called the XP4. It entailed research and hands-on projects that were to be incorporated into the avionics dashboard which I chose to execute in 4 parts using Kanban techniques.

Project 1- Soldering of the avionics circuits and PCB
Project 2- Designing, manufacturing, and coding of voice recognition system for the XP4 prototype warehouse.
Project 3- Research and testing IoT for the same warehouse. This was to have alternate tests and models.
Project 4- Combination research and testing again of Raspberry Pi and Flight Aware for near and distant proximity aircraft detection.

Sheffield Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE)- The Rocket Test Bench Project
This was followed by coding for the temperature and pressure data while setting up the avionics, ensuring the right sensors and connectors were used. A sliding element was fit on the rocket test bench to have the gliding movement during ignition test of varied solid rockets.
The focus was to test and find the best performing solid rocket motor as a learning experiment for the students.
Hence to summarize the steps- Design > Manufacturing and Assembly > Avionics > Data > Testing and documentation.
